Plumbing layout

All plumbing needs to properly be vented to work and at it’s finest. Sewer systems before city sewer was installed was on private septic tanks. The picture above shows you that it was basically a huge whole with a some kind of container to hold and contain all of the debris. Over time when pipes inside the septic tank fell or broke all plumbers did to repair the issue was feed a new pipe threw the septic system instead of removing septic tank itself.
Septic tanks are very heavy and there’s no need to dispose of them.

Camera Sewer Line

Scoping your sewer line will tell you an entire story. Twenty years ago we never had video camera capabilities.

Putting a camera down your sewer line once cleaned will show us what’s going on and why you clog up. We always suggest cleaning your drain pipe with a professional company before we camera. Cleaning your own sewer line doesn’t count. The rented machines are not like the professional machines. A homeowner can’t clean a sewer line like an experience technician who does this work for a living day in and day out. Our company does drain cleaning and scoping a picture of your pipe. Before cameras we had to guess where to dig. Most the time we pin pointed the spot within three feet. Now a days we can pin point the exact first spot to dig with the technology of the camera and locator. Make sure you trust the company you hire before making any dramatic decision.
Call Hiawatha Plumbing for any plumbing drain sewer cleaning needs. Let us help you clean your line and camera it. Were the trusted company since 1947.

Shower rule #1 (Water Pressure)

Having a good steady stream of water is key while showering. Think back to time when your traveling or away at school and the water pressure in the shower just isn’t up to your standards. Make sure your water lines can handle the type of shower your creating. Multiple shower head and jets must have a big enough water line going to them. If your water line going to the shower valves aren’t large enough the pressure in your shower will be disappointing. Consult a plumber if your not sure about your water pressure. If your designing your own walk-in shower it’s very time consuming, but is worth every second in the end. Call Hiawatha Plumbing for any shower questions.
Enjoy and have fun creating your new shower!
